!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
$311 shipped. 256gb with 8 gigs of ram. Also 2 type covers (one is the battery one), 2 chargers (I can keep one in the studio), the pen, a case, and a mini display adapter. I think I got a pretty good deal. Also includes 128gb of extra storage. Not sure if it’s an SD card or something else, but cool non the less.
I like the Pro 2 better than the Pro 3 because it’s cheaper and the pen is a Wacom and doesn’t require batteries.

Can’t recommend a Mr Shield screen protector enough. SO MUCH better than drawing on glass. Like $7 for a 3-pack on amazon. Kind of a bitch to get on right unless you’ve got a certified clean room, but worth the effort.
Great deal!

We’ve got a Pro2, had it since new, I never really got on with the weird screen size nor it’s weight for a tablet tbh, we also have a Pro4 which is pretty much perfect in size, weight, screen size and performance. The Pro 2 (ours in an i5, the 4 is an i7) is pretty good when plugged into it's dock and thus external monitors and keyboard\mouse, even now it performs most taks very quickly.

I’ll order them right away, you were pretty influential in not getting a 3. It sounds like the pen is a mess. Also at my budget I’d have a 4gb 3 where I spend $100 less and have 8gb on the 2.

Sounds like a great deal. Does the Pro 2 come with MS Office installed (not Office 365, the full version)?
The reason I’ve stuck with my Surface 2 is for that reason...all the new ones seem to come with the $99 yearly pay version.
Are you going to Win10?

Previous owner already installed 10. I don’t think the Pro 2 comes with office, but I get it for free from my University. But I use Google Drive for my typing and office stuff. The costly software is $300 a year for Adobe suite.

Hell yeah. All the RAMs you can get! I’m sure, being a Wacom, that the 2's stylus is better, though tips may be more expensive. I still can’t believe how fast the 3's tips turn to useless nubs, given how little I actually get to use it. We’ll see if the surface book’s any better.

I have a serial Intuos 1 right now and I’m on borrowed time with that nib, they don’t make them any more. I also have to reinstall the drivers every time I use it.
I’m looking forward to the Surface Pro.

I still use my 13-year-old Intuos 2 on my home desktop all the time. All these years and I still haven’t had to replace that one. So nice to have the option to draw on a screen though!

Wow. That is cheap. That spec was probably $1200+ a couple years ago, and that is still a super capable little PC. Pretty neat. NP!

There’s a refurbished one on Amazon for $340 with 128gb and 4gb of ram that doesn’t include the pen or keyboard.
I’m going to use it as a portable replacement to my 11 pound mobile work station Dell M4800. The M4800 is great, runs all Adobe apps at the same time without coughing, i7, 16gb of ram, AMD graphics, all that. But it breaks my back walking 2 miles to campus everyday. The pro 2 should fill most of my needs and the M4800 can stay as my heavy lifter.

Yeah, I feel that you really made out with the 256ssd and the 8GB of memory. That will make a huge difference in long term ownership over that refurb! Sounds like a good fit. Enjoy!
